21st National Street Festival
Belper, Derbyshire, UK. This annual festival will be hosted in Leeds next year. No details for that as yet but this years festival had Sunday busking slots available for choirs, hopefully next year will follow suit.

Scotlands National Street Arts Festival takes place in May. Please note that there is no longer a Busking Competition as part of the festival!!
Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Lynton and Lynmouth Music Festival Busking Competition
As part of the festival taking place on 9th, 10th and 11th of June, there will be a busking competition starting approx 12.30 on Sunday the 11th. There is a 100.00 GBP first prize and a 50.00 GBP second prize, plus the winner gets to play on the main stage. Owen Sound Celtic Festival

Tickle The Ivories
Festival in Liverpool ONE called Tickle the Ivories, where 5 pianos will be placed on the streets from 1st July - 4th September 2011. Performance slots can be booked for free by performers of any age, style and ability. Orchestras, Choirs, musicians, bands or dance/theatre groups are welcome to book timeslots to perform on the streets of Liverpool ONE using the pianos at busy times of day to promote an event or cause, fundraise, busk or simply perform just for fun.

Fremantle Buskers Festival
The site contains information about the festival held in various parts of Freemantle over the Easter Weekend in 2001 with pictures, descriptions and links to performers sites.
Telstra Country Music Festival
The Australian Country Music Busking Championships are held annually, usually in January. Registered buskers are judged throughout the week and anumber are chosen to perform on the Friday night of the festival. The winners receive cash prices and are invited to play in the official closing ceremony. Registration packs are available around Oct. Charlottetown Festival of Lights
This large annual Canada Day Celebration held at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada in June sees the Aliant International Buskers entertaining round the waterfront everyday.
Dundas Busking Festival
Annual outdoor buskerfest held over 3 days in June. Street comedy from around the world, arts, crafts, jugglers, comedians, stilt walkers, musicians and a buskers variety show keeps everyone entertained.
Edmonton International Street Performers Festival
Annual 10 day street festival held in Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, AB. The next one in July 2004 is the festivals 20th anniversary!
Festival Loto-Quebec Just For Laughs
Annual street festival held in Montreal every July. The festival includes a wide range of artists and events.
Halifax Buskers Fest
Annual busking festival held in Nova Scotia every August. Acts wishing to participate are invited to send in their promotional packages. Applications start every September of each year for the following season. The site is also rather cool with performer spotlights, associated festivals, photo album, peoples choice award and streaming video!
Kingston Buskers Rendezvous
4 day festival held in Ontario every July. Site contains photos, facts, event information and the Buskers application form.
Nelson International Street Performers and Arts Festival
Held in Nelson, British Columbia over two days in July. Performers are requsted to send in their promotional material for consideration or email them for more details.
Ottowa Fringe Festival
The Ottawa Fringe festival hosts both buskers and musicians locally, nationally and internationally for its 10 day festival in the end of June. This coming festival will be from June 16 - 26 2005 with applications becoming available in late October (as usual). EUROPE
1st Street Music Festival, Berlin
Will take place on Saturday, the 29th October 2005. Buskers from all over the world can sign in from 9 until 12 noon that day or via Email (info@lieblingslied-records.de) before. Performances will take place on Kastanienallee and at 'The Bastard' club. No entry fee.
The following prizes can be won:
1st prize: 4 days in a studio and pressing of 1000 copies on CD.
2nd prize: A voucher of 300 Euros for musical equipment.
3rd prize: A date at the celebrity hairdresser Udo Waltz.
On the same day the DVD BERLIN ANALOG will be released. Berlin Analog is a documentary snap-shot: A DVD containing a documentary film about streetmusic-szene in Berlin, with original composition by 13 Berlin base buskers and a music video.

La Fira de Teatre
Site in Spanish. Buskers wishing to participate need to send in their material between October to Feb for review. Festival takes place during September, in Tarrega, Spain (nr Barcelona).

Santa Sofia Buskers Festival
Cute animated busker on the main page and another one inside - the info is not so easy to find as the site is in Italian.
The Games of La Francophonie
The games have both sporting and cultural events including 'Song', 'Poetry' and occassionally 'Busking!' Countries take part in hosting the event, the next one will be held in Niamey, Niger, from December 7 to 17, 2005.

South Canterbury Annual Busking Festival
